Provincial Adoption Authorities
Each province has its own adoption laws, regulations, policies and procedures that must be followed. All provinces require the completion of a homestudy. If you reside outside of Ontario in Canada, please contact your Provincial Central Adoption Authority to ensure that you have the information you need. Some provinces require applicants to work with an agency in their province to complete a homestudy and other provinces provide this service through independent licensed social workers. You must follow the adoption protocol of your province to complete a homestudy and any education requirements to obtain provincial approval to adopt.
At Family by Adoption Inc, applicants complete an application and registration process before signing a Service Agreement to work with us. This should be done before completing a homestudy for any particular country program. Once you have signed our Service Agreement we will accept your completed homestudy and continue with you in the adoption process.
*We cannot facilitate inter-country adoptions for residents of Quebec.
